摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize picture display having a wide viewing angle and being sharp and bright by improving the opening ratio of the active matrix type liquid crystal display device of an IPS(in plane switching) system. SOLUTION: The display panel of the display device has a stracture in which a pixel part has a TFT(thin film transistor) having a semiconductor film and the gate electrode formed on the first insulating layer, a common wiring crossing a gate wiring through the second insulating layer, a pixel electrode which is formed on the second insulating layer and is connected to the TFT and a signal wiring which is formed below the common wiring and is arranged so as to be piled up on the common wiring through the second insulating layer and, in the pixel part, the pixel electrode and the common wiring are arranged so as to generate an electric field parallel with the substrate surface of the panel, the signal wiring and the semiconductor film are connected with the connection electrode formed on the second insulating layer. Moreover, an off current can be reduced in the TFT in the pixel part.</p>
