PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POLYMER NANOCOMPOSITES

PURPOSE: Provided is a process for producing polymer nanocomposites by intercalating polymers between organized montmorillonites easily by using a solvent method and a compounding method. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing the polymer nanocomposites comprises the steps of: preparing a master batch by dissolving 100pts.wt. of a polymer resin such as polypropylene or polystyrene in 100-600pts.wt. of a solvent such as xylene or tetrahydrofuran and then mixing the solution with 50-100pts.wt. of the organized montmorillonites and drying; mixing and melting the master batch and the polymer resin, wherein the organized montmorillonites of the master batch is 5-10pts.wt. based on the 100pts.wt. of the polymer resin.
