Method in which a mobile phone or similar (1) is used to made a wireless connection to a central unit (2) in order to receive authentication data (D). Accordingly the mobile phone sends an identification code (ANI1) to the central unit, and on receipt of an authentication request (A(D)) the sends authentication data to the phone identified by the code (ANI1). The authentication data includes data identifying from which central operating unit it originates.
