<p>A soft magnetic steel alloy contains in weight percent, about 1.0-5.0 % manganese, about 7-17 % cobalt, and the balance is essentially iron. The disclosed alloy provides a highly acceptable level of magnetic saturation induction combined with good electrical resistivity with a substantially reduced amount cobalt relative to the known Co-Fe soft magnetic steel alloys.</p> |
