<p>The crash cushion apparatus includes a nose piece assembly (11), one or more impact absorption elements (12), and a transition/attachment assembly (14). The impact absorption elements (12) are composed of a plastic container having a forward end, a rearward end, and two sides. Each side has at least one vertical indentation (20); one side bearing a first number of vertical indentations and the other side bearing at least one more vertical indentation than the first side. When a plurality of impact absorption elements are assembled, the elements should be arranged so that adjacent elements alternate the number of vertical indentations (20) on their respective sides.</p> |
