<p>A vehicle-mounted information device comprises a CPU operable in normal and low-power standby modes, a first power supply for the CPU in normal mode, a second power supply for the CPU in standby mode, and a power control device for controlling on/off operations of the first and second power supplies. For a shift from normal to standby mode, the CPU outputs a first signal to the power control device. When receiving the first signal from the CPU, the power control device supplies the second power supply with a second signal for turning on the second power supply and, predetermined time later, supplies the first power supply with a third signal for turning off the first power supply. For a shift from standby to normal mode, the CPU outputs a fourth signal to the power control device. When receiving the fourth signal from the CPU, the power control device supplies the first power supply with a fifth signal for turning on the first power supply and, predetermined time later, supplies the second power supply with a sixth signal for turning off the first power supply.</p> |
