PURPOSE: A door damping structure of box type refrigerator is provided to prevent an injury and to mitigate shock given to a main body on shutting of an upper door. CONSTITUTION: A door damping structure includes a main body case; an upper door(8); a spring(44); and a loop(36). The main body case forms a storage space in a refrigerator. The upper door is rotatably installed on one side of the main body case and has a rotary axis(34) rotating by being interlocked with the upper door. The spring is installed on one side of the main body case. The loop has one end fixed to the rotary axis and the other end fixed to the spring. The spring gets and loses force of restitution(F2) by rotation of the rotary axis.
