PURPOSE: A process for a carbonated green tea beverage made by mixing liquefied carbonic acid gas with a green tea extract is provided. Whereby, the product is useful as an effervescent drink and has an excellent freshness. CONSTITUTION: Leaves and roots of green tea are finely ground and mixed with carbonated water in a ratio of 50% to 45% on a weight basis, and then 5% by weight of flavorings are added thereto.
