The method involves using a designated host processor to coordinate the sequence run for each computer using software modules (SM) installed on the computers (PC1-PC4) associated to each plant module (W-001,W-002) The method involves installing a software control module (SM) for each plant module (W-001,W-002) in its associated process computer (PC1-PC4), which is defined by the function and command set for each module and the type of computer. A coordinating host processor is selected from the process computer system. The control engineering step sequence is parsed to a partial step sequence by abstracting a step assigned to each computer. Each partial step sequence is dynamically loaded into each associated computer using the host processor. The step sequence is run through coordinated processing of each dynamically separated partial step sequence in the single computers using the loaded software modules. |
