PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing a door of a bus is provided to apply power to a switch for manipulating the opening and closing of a door when a vehicle is stopped for restraining the operation of an operation cylinder due to the malfunction of the manipulation switch while the vehicle is running, thereby preventing the safety accidents in advance. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening and closing a door of a bus includes an operation cylinder(10) for controlling the operation of a link unit serving for the opening and closing of the door, first and second magnetic control valves(16,18) mounted oppositely with respect to a piston(10a) for controlling the movement of the piston in the operation cylinder by applying or blocking operation pressure, an air storage tank(24) connected to the magnetic control valves via first and second pneumatic tube ways(20,22), a manipulation switch(26) connected to a power supply for controlling the supply of compression air into the operation cylinder by controlling the operation of the magnetic control valves, and a controller(30) for controlling the connection and disconnection between the manipulation switch and the power supply according to a vehicle speed.
