PURPOSE: A frequency up converter is provided, which reduces a time and a manpower required in tuning and reduces a production cost using a potentiometer instead of a DA converter, by controlling an auto gain control(AGC) function with a digital method. CONSTITUTION: A frequency up conversion part(10) receives an in-phase(I) and an orthogonal(Q) component signal and then performs an auto gain control(AGC). An input signal detection part(11) outputs a corresponding voltage by a digital method by detecting a base band signal of the in-phase and the orthogonal component inputted to the frequency up conversion part. An output signal detection part(12) detects a signal being output finally from the frequency up conversion part. A control circuit part(13) outputs transmission gate control information, and a transmission gain control part(TX AGC CIRCUIT)(14) outputs a transmission gain control voltage(TX_AGC VOLTAGE) to control an attenuator(ATT) of the frequency up conversion part by assembling signals from the input signal detection part and the output signal detection part and the control circuit part.
