<p>The electronic sewing machine for sewing zigzag stitch of the present invention is intended for making a stitch on a fabric through the mediation of cooperation of a needle (3) moving vertically in coordination with a main shaft rotatably driven by a main motor (1). The sewing machine comprises a mechanism for feeding fabric having a fabric feeder protruding on a stitching plate (4) for feeding the fabric and a needle (3) swing a mechanism (11) in the direction transversal to the fabric feeding. The sewing machine further comprises a memory (26) for storing a plurality of data about the needle (3) swing motion (3), individually corresponding to a plurality of the needle (3) swing pattern, a reference of a base line, and position of the base line of the needle (3) swing pattern, corresponding to the pattern of the needle (3) swing motion pattern, a switch (50 through 57) for selecting the needle (3) swing motion pattern to select a predetermined one of the needle (3) swing motion patterns, and a control circuit (21) to regulate speed of the sewing machine and a control circuit (24) to regulate the needle (3) swing motion for subtracting data o the needle (3) swing motion corresponding to a selected needle (3) swing motion pattern, and a reference of the base line, which is stored in dependence on the needle (3) swing motion pattern being selected to control the needle (3) swing a mechanism (11) based on data of the needle (3) swing motion and the reference base line for making a stitch having the needle (3) swing motion pattern.</p> |
