<p>PURPOSE: A surround surveillance apparatus for a mobile body is provided to survey surroundings around the mobile body. CONSTITUTION: A surround surveillance apparatus mounted on a mobile body includes an omni-azimuth visual system(200). The omni-azimuth visual system(200) includes at least one visual sensor(210) including an optical system(212) capable of obtaining an image with an omni-azimuth view field area therearound and capable of central projection transformation of the image into an optical image, and an imaging section(214) including an imaging lens(216) for converting the optical image obtained by the optical system(212) into image data, an image processor(220) for transforming the image data into at least one of panoramic image data and perspective image data, a display section(240) for displaying one of a panoramic image corresponding to the panoramic image data and a perspective image corresponding to the perspective image data and a display control section(250) for controlling the display section(240).</p> |
