PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary feeder capable of feeding transported material into a transport passage without lowering the transport efficiency for the transported material. SOLUTION: Among partition chambers R1, R2 formed in a rotor 19, a shielding plate 37 for closing each partition chamber R2 is mounted in each partition chamber R2 disposed at every designated angle in the rotating direction of the rotor 19. That is, in the rotor 19, the partition chamber R1 allowed to be filled with the transported material and the partition chamber R2 not allowed to be done so are alternately disposed. Accordingly, only the partition chamber R1 is filled with the transported material so that even if transported material with larger specific gravity or transported material of a large grain size are filled, lowering of the transport efficiency of transported material can be prevented without any increase in driving resistance of the rotor 19.
