PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an infrared ray shielding tool for a car window fitted to the car window is nonexistent in the past and to provide the infrared ray shielding tool for the car window which reduces the high temperature in a car by shielding infrared rays serving as heat rays, prevents the surreptitious photographing through infrared rays, and can shield both infrared rays and ultraviolet rays. SOLUTION: This infrared ray shielding tool for the car window shields the infrared rays irradiated into a cabin from the car window, and it is provided with a shielding body 1 capable of transmitting visible light and incapable of transmitting infrared rays and fitting members 31 and 34 for fitting the shielding body 1 to the inside of the glasses 11 and 13 of the car window 10 or the outer peripheral frame 15 of the car window 10.
