PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical device having a new antimicrobial action. SOLUTION: This surgical device contains an antimicrobial uniformly diffused in the device at an effective quantity for practically impairing the in situ growth of bacteria on the surface of the device. The device can be formed with extrusion-molded organism-permissible filaments and/or threads containing the antimicrobial uniformly diffused inside at an effective quantity for manufacturing the surgical device to practically impair the in situ growth of bacteria on the surface of the device.
