PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container in which a plurality of accommodating portions can easily be separated from each other and a method for producing the container. SOLUTION: A container 1 having the plurality of recesses 2 is formed from a sheet containing an amorphous resin (A) and a thermoplastic resin (B), which is incompatible with the constituent (A), at an (A)/(B) ratio of 10/90 to 90/10 (weight ratio). The recesses are tightly sealed under heat with a top film 5 made from the constituent (A) or (B). Thereafter, a score 4 is formed between the adjacent recesses along the sheet flow direction. Thus, the container in which the adjacent recesses can be separated from each other is produced.
