The invention concerns an insulating reactive mineral filler, characterised in that it comprises at least a mixture of particles of: a first constituent selected among the hydrated expanded mineral compounds based on silicate, whereof the melting point is higher than 1400 DEG C, and whereof the particle structure is an open structure; and a second constituent comprising at least: an organic bentonite derivative, preferably an organic montmorillonite derivative and/or precipitated silica or precipitated silicate having a high specific surface, preferably a BET specific surface of at least 25 m<2>/g, more preferably at least 100 m<2>/g. The invention also concerns an insulating product exhibiting fire-resistant activity and/or against thermal attacks provoking heat shock in particular higher than 1000 DEG C, characterised in that it comprises a mixture derived from the mixture of an inventive mineral filler and an organic or mineral binder. |
