PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling a car audio and remotely controlling a starting using a mobile communication terminal is provided to control the operation of the car audio using a control key of the car audio composed in the mobile communication terminal by composing a control key function of the car audio in the mobile communication terminal by one body and installing the mobile communication terminal in the car audio by attachment and detachment. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal body(112) generates a control signal for controlling the operation of a car audio body(100) according to a signal of a control key, generates a remote control code for remotely controlling a vehicle, transmits the generated control signal and remote control code, and performs a telephone conversation by wireless. An installing unit(110) is composed in the car audio body(100) by one body for installing a CD/MD player, a tape reproducer, an AM/FM radio and/or an equalizer, and the mobile communication terminal body(112). The car audio body(100) controls the operation of an electronic cabinet unit of the vehicle. The car audio body(100) sets an operation mode using the control signal outputted from the mobile communication terminal body(112) according to the signal of the control key, and selectively operates the CD/MD player, the tape reproducer, the AM/FM radio or the equalizer unit according to the set operation mode. The car audio body(100) selectively outputs a voice signal outputted from the mobile communication terminal body(112), receives the remote control code transmitted from the mobile communication terminal body(112), and controls the operation of the electronic cabinet unit of the vehicle.
