摘要 The invention relates to the measurement of variable and constant quantities of magnetic fields and can be used for developing magneto-optical instruments based on said measurement. The inventive method for producing an optical picture of the magnetic field consists in the following: a layer of a magneto-optical material arranged on a substrate is exposed to the effects of the studied magnetic field; simultaneously, said layer is cooled from a temperature, which is greater than a magnetic-ordering temperature, to a temperature which is lower than the magnetic-ordering temperature; a picture of a magnetic structure of a plate is produced with the aid of the magneto-optical effect at the temperature which is lower than the magnetic ordering temperature. The thickness of the layer of the magneto-optical material is chosen to be as small as possible, taking into account the geometrical resolution of the optical system which is used for producing the picture. Cooling of the layer is carried out at a rate, which is equal to or higher than 2 degrees/sec.
