PURPOSE: A device for ejecting a tray of a disk drive is provided to operate a stopper arm to eject the tray by varying an eject knob pressing degree, with an electric configuration in an ordinary state and with an instrumental configuration in an emergent state in which the pressing degree is applied bigger. CONSTITUTION: A hooking protuberance selectively fixes a tray(30) in a main chassis(20). The tray(30) is movably mounted on the main chassis(20), and is projected to a predetermined length by a restoration power of a projection spring(24). An eject knob(34) arranged in one part of a front plate(32) receives a tray ejecting command from a user. A stopper arm(40) installed on a lower part of the tray(30) is rotative by a rotation central pin(41). A driving lever(47) integrated with the stopper arm(40) has a first driving projection(48) in an internal part and a second driving projection(49) in a front end, wherein the second driving projection(49) has a larger rotative radius than the first driving projection(48). A switch(50) detects the contact of the first driving projection(48) by the pressing of the eject knot(34), and generates a signal for ejecting the tray(30). When the driving lever(47) rotates, the first driving projection(48) and a detection unit are contacted first, then a support plate and the second driving projection(49) are contacted.
