<p>PURPOSE: A rotational angle detecting apparatus, a torque sensor and a steering apparatus are provided to detect wrong operation of the rotational angle detecting apparatus in outputting the detecting signal by using the torque sensor and the steering system. CONSTITUTION: A rotational angle detecting device comprises targets provided on a rotor to output a signal with repeating periodical increase and decrease according to rotation of the rotor; a first detector(1A,2A) for detecting an adjacent part of the target; and a second detector(1B,2B) for detecting a part having the predetermined angle distant from the part detected by the first detector. The rotational angle detecting device detects the rotational angle of the rotor based on the detected signal output from detectors. A memory(3) stores the detected signal value from the other detector corresponding to the detected signal output from one of the detectors. Malfunction is detected by deciding the detected signal value stored in the memory.</p> |
