The boot (CH), provided with a flexible shaft (O) and a soft inner shoe (CH) is fitted with a metal loop (5) permanently joined (22) to its inner surface (Oa) at the height of the ankle. A strap (1), permanently joined (12) to the opposite side of the inner surface (Oa) is guided across the top of the foot, inserted into the loop (5) and tensioned by pulling at its outer end (1b), which can be attached to the inner surface (Oa) of the boot (CH) by means of Velcro (RTM) (7, 7a), to keep the boot (CH) in position. The separate inner shoe CH) is provided with a soft patch (10) located at the fixing area (22) of the loop (5) in order to avoid pressure sores.
