PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an uneven dark part generated at both corner of a light guide plate, and to obtain a flat light source device with uniform brightness at whole area of a light guide plate, and to aim at an elegant display of a flat display device. SOLUTION: By forming both side surfaces 18a of a rubber holder 18 of a pipe-shaped light source 13 of a flat light source device 12 so as to have wide angle in the direction to a light guide plate 16, the volume of light getting into both corners 16c of the light guide plate 16 is increased, and the brightness at whole light emission area of the light guide plate 16 is made uniform. The flat display device with uniform brightness and elegant display is obtained by laminating the flat light source device 12 at the back surface of a display panel 11. |
