PURPOSE: An advertising system using 114 telephone number information service and a method thereof are provided to increase the effectiveness of advertisement by outputting a voice advertisement to a user until information for a requested telephone number is searched. CONSTITUTION: An advertising system using 114 telephone number information consists of an automatic telephone exchange(20) and an advertisement providing server(40). The automatic telephone exchange(20), operated by a user terminal's 114 calling operation, automatically connects the user terminal(10) with a telephone number information system(30). The advertisement providing server(40), connected between the automatic telephone exchange(20) and the telephone number information system(30), sends an advertising sound during a telephone number search time in case that the user terminal(10) is connected with the telephone number information system(30) by the dialing of "0114".
