PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth mechanism of an optical disk device through which the length of an earth line is made short as much as possible while eliminating noise being radiated by an optical pickup through the line and the connecting work of the line is simplified. SOLUTION: The earth mechanism is for an optical disk device having a traverse base 20 on which a turntable 5, an optical pickup 6, its driving mechanism and a pickup guide mechanism are mounted. Electrically conductive materials are used to constitute a pair of left and right guide rods 22 and 23, coil springs 24b arranged in guide rod supporting sections 24, pressing fixtures 24c which are fixed in the sections 24 and a guide arm 6b which integrally moves with the pickup 6 and is engaged with the rod 23 in a freely sliding manner. An extending section 24d which extends to lower than the sections 24, is formed to the fixture 24c and an earth connector 25 is connected to the section 24d.
