PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle mounted gateway which can prevent consumption of a battery for a vehicle. SOLUTION: When an external personal computer 500 inquires to a gateway 100 installed on a vehicle 10 about apparatuses in a vehicle, the gateway 100 inquires to each of the apparatuses 400, and transmits the result to the computer 500, in the case that an ignition(IG) power source is on. In the case that the IG power source is off, the gateway 100 does not inquire to each of the apparatus 400 but transmits the state of each of the apparatuses which is collected before the IG power source is turned off (and recorded in a node state table 100a) to the computer 500.
