PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphic detection circuit capable of detecting a graphic efficiently. SOLUTION: In this graphic detection circuit, an object graphic is detected from image data inputted in each line. The graphic detection circuit has a characteristic detection circuit for detecting the characteristic of the graphic, a characteristic memory circuit for memorizing the detected characteristic of the graphic, and a characteristic determination circuit for determining the detected characteristic of the graphic. The characteristic of the graphic detected by the characteristic detection circuit is memorized in the characteristic memory circuit, and sent to the characteristic determination circuit and the characteristic thereof is determined.
