The bodywork straightening mechanism comprises a master cylinder (CE) in which a piston (PE) is displaced under the action of a cam (C). The piston transmits oil by means of a flexible tubing (F) into a portable receptor cylinder (CR) connected to the vehicle. The oil displaces a receptor piston (PR) which, at the end of its travel, strikes the bottom of the receptor cylinder (FA) 50 to 100 times per second. This striking creates a straightening force in direct relation to the weight of the receptor piston and the square of its speed at the moment of impact.
