PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery superior in charging/discharging cycle characteristic, avoiding a swelling problem due to generated gas in a container having a wall thickness of 0.25 mm or less. SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a container 1, a positive electrode 6 stored in the container, a negative electrode 9 stored in the container 1, containing a negative electrode active material, and a non-aqueous electrolyte stored in the container 1. The container 1 has a wall thickness X of 0.25 mm or less, the negative electrode active material contains graphitized particles with particles of size 5 μm or less having an abundance ratio of 5 vol.% or less and a BET specific surface area of 2-50 m2/g due to N2 adsorption, and the non-aqueous electrolyte contains a non- aqueous solvent, in which the electrolyte is dissolved, having a viscosity of 4 cP or more at 20 deg.C. |
