PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide patch antennas capable of surface mounting. SOLUTION: In a patch antenna 10 where a radiation electrode 13 comprising a feed point 11 at its back plane is formed on a main plane of a dielectric substrate 12 and a ground electrode 17 is provided at the other main plane of the substrate, it is configured so that a through-hole conductor 14 is connected to the feed point 11 and power is supplied through a pattern conductor 15 provided at the main plane of the ground electrode, which has continuity with the through-hole conductor 14. According to this arrangement, the main plane of the ground electrode 17 can be a practically flat because any circuit parts are not mounted, hence, a structure capable of surface mounting can be obtained.
