PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform evolution processing, and limit the position of individuals in a selected space to some extent in a method for improving the efficiency in evolution used in the evolution-type calculation for generating continuous individuals. SOLUTION: This optimization controlling method comprises a step (a) of constituting chromosomes of a first generation with control parameters coded therein by limiting genes by the coordinates in a selected space, selecting genes constituting the chromosomes of the first generation from the selected space used as a gene pool in advance, and operating a device by using the chromosomes of the first generation, a step (b) of marking a score on the chromosomes, a step (c) of setting a search area in a selected space according to one or a plurality of scores, and a step (d) of operating the device by using the chromosomes of continuous generations, and these steps are repeated.
