PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image synthesis method that can attain image synthesis of a distribution processing type that uniformizes respective processing loads imposed on terminals and to provide an information processing apparatus that employs the method. SOLUTION: Each of the terminals extracts a desired object image from an image acquired by each terminal, while one image provided by one of the terminals as a transfer image is transferred among the terminals via a network, each terminal synthesizes an object image extracted by each terminal with the transfer image, then the transfer image is transferred to all of the terminals and the synthesis of the object image with the transfer image is completed, the terminal at the end point transmits the transfer image whose synthesis with the object image is completed to all or part of the other terminals. Thus, since each of the terminals taking part in the image synthesis synthesizes the object image of its own terminal with the one transfer image, the load for the image synthesis processing is not concentrated onto any specific terminal among the terminals. |
