PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high rate communication by a control system performing data communication between different types of PLC and a host computer. SOLUTION: A host computer (computer) 1, a programmable display (display) 2 and a PLC 3 are connected with a common network 4. The computer 1, the display 2 and the PLC 3 are stored, in respective setting storing sections 17, 29 and 35 thereof, with preset specific information including its own IP address, a destination IP address and a port number. Based on the specific information contained in a transmitted data sequence, the data communication processing section 11, the data processing section 21 and the communication processing section 34 in the computer 1, the display 2 and the PLC 3 recognize that the data sequence is addressed to a destination from a source specified by the stored specific information. The display 2 converts a data representation format inherent to the PLC 3 and a common data representation format mutually.
