<p>A medical electrode (10) includes a first conductive polymerizable gel layer (12) for electrically coupling the electrode to a body and a flexible porous electrical conductor (14) disposed on the first gel layer. A second conductive polymerizable gel layer (16) is disposed on the flexible porous electrical conductor and polymerized with the first layer through the porous conductor.
