<p>The invention relates to colored corn for popcorn and the method used to obtain said corn. The product comprises the following ingredients: corn for popcorn under optimal expansion conditions, drinking water, water-soluble, edible synthetic coloring agents with excellent solubility in alcohol solutions, and optionally, highly pure ethanol. According to said method, a coloring solution based on drinking water and the selected coloring agent is prepared. The corn is then washed in drinking water and immersed at ambient temperature in the coloring solution for as long as required depending on the selected range of colors. One colored, the corn is drained and then dried until it has the initial humidity.</p> |
