Seaweed capture device uses filter basket with individual filter elements fitted into container for reception of floating seaweed

The seaweed capture device has a filter basket (3), with a number of individual filters (4), fitted via a number of U-shaped carrier elements (2) in a reception container (1) for the captured seaweed, provided with a drainage channel for the seawater, controlled by a discharge valve (6). A suction pump (5) which draws the seawater into the seaweed capture device, is positioned between the outside of the filter basket and the inside of the container. The captured seaweed is removed via a hydraulically operated panel (7) at the rear wall of the container.
