A disposal system (40) for packaging odorous waste objects (61), for example soiled diapers, in individual sealed (substantially air-tight) packages (60) includes a container body (44), base (42), hinged lid (46), flexible tubing material (62), a first sealing member (76) and a second sealing member (78). The sealing members are operable to seal or form a substantially air-tight seal (70) in the flexible material to prevent the odor from escaping. The sealing members move between an open position and a closed/sealing position by twisting an inner lid (56), closing the lid, or moving an activation arm (144). The sealing members preferably seal the tubing by thermally fusing the tubing. A method is also provided.
