At least each lengthwise side of the water-bed, on the frame, and next to the water-sack has a foam edge. On the side facing away from the bed, the foam edge has a recess taking the edges (2) of the cover (1) which can be pulled over to protect the water-sack and the foam edges. At least two opposite facing edges of the cover have a seam (3) into which fits an elongated element (4) such as pipe or cable.
