The work garment, e.g. jacket is made of waterproof material and has several reflective strips (20) which are each stitched on a material strip (21) or plate which is then stitched along only one of the longitudinal side edges through a seam (13) which connects two parts (11,12) of the garment together. The other edges of the strip are not sewn to the garment but can be detachably fixed thereon. The underneath connection between the strip and the garment is detachable through touch and close fasteners (24).
