PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which a display panel and a drive circuit are connected without using a flexible board. SOLUTION: This display device 1 has a liquid crystal panel 2 and the circuit board 4 provided with a drive IC 38 controlling the liquid crystal panel 2. The panel 2 has plural electrode terminals at the rear (surface of a side opposite to the surface of an observing side). In the circuit board 4, a frame-shaped projected part 34 is provided on the surface confronted to the rear of the panel 2 of the circuit board 4. Plural connection terminals 36 which are connected electrically to the IC 38 are arranged on the projected part 34 and these terminals 36 and electrode terminals of the panel 2 are connected with an anisotropic electrically conductive film 6. Moreover, the IC 38 is arranged in the recessed part formed in the inner side of the projected part 34.
