PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Fe-Cr-Al based alloy having good oxidation resistance and good producibility as well even in a state of being extra-thin foil with a thickness of <=25 μm. SOLUTION: This Fe-Cr-Al based alloy having excellent oxidation resistance and toughness has a composition containing, by mass, 15 to 28% Cr, 4.5 to 10.0% Al, 0.01 to 0.3% Y and one or two kinds of Zr and Hf by 0.01 to 0.2% as (Zr+Hf/2), containing, as inevitable impurities, <=0.02% C, <=0.02% N, C+N: <=0.03%, <=0.003% S, <=0.5% Si, <=1.0% Mn, Ti, Nb, Ta and V by <0.03% in total, <0.005% Ce and rare earth elements other than Y by <0.01% in total, and the balance Fe and also satisfying the following inequalities (1) and (2): 0.01<=(%Zr)+(%Hf)/2-2×(%Ti)-(%Nb)-(%Ta)/2-2×(%V)...(1), and (% Al)-4}2× 2×(%Zr)+(%Hf)}/(%Y)<; 20...(2). |
