PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument that a user can operate without getting puzzled about whether the musical instrument can be used even after another user operates it and also can operate from the initial state. SOLUTION: This electronic musical instrument is equipped with a transition means 26 which shifts the operation mode to a display mode, an event detecting means 10 which detects an event occurring, a counter 12 which counts the elapsed time after a specific set in the display mode, and a control means 10 which sets the specific value in the counter when the detecting means detects an event before the counter counts the specific time and initializes the setting state of the electronic musical instrument when no event is detected. |
