<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relative motion component monitoring device, capable of previously detecting an end of life of the relative motion component, of monitoring a replacement time before arriving at the end of life, and of contributing to ensure reliability of a machine and a device using the relative motion component. SOLUTION: A linear way 10 comprises a rail 102 having an engaging recess parts 101 which serve as a contact face exposed to the outside, and using a lubricant 106 for lubrication of a contact surfaces; and a color sensor 121 for detecting change of a color of the lubricant 106. Managing means 122 detect a condition of a solid lubricant from the result of measurement by the color sensor 121 to manage arrival of the end of life and the replacement time of the linear way based on the detection result.</p> |
