PURPOSE: Provided is an alkali-zinc secondary battery which prevents the decrease of a discharge capacity resulting from the decrease of reaction area of electrode, and increases a cycle life of the battery. CONSTITUTION: The alkali-zinc secondary battery is characterized in that zinc electrode consists of a collector(1), the first active material layer(2) which is positioned around the outside of the collector, and the second active material layer(3) which is positioned around the outside of the first active material layer, wherein the second active material layer has larger porosity than that of the first active material layer. The porosity of the first active material layer is 65-70%, and the porosity of the second active material layer is 75-80%. The alkali-zinc secondary battery prevents the passivation of electrode surface.
