PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transporting device, document transport device, and image forming device whereby it is possible to simplify the operation to calculate the correction value to be used in sensing the sheet length using the pre-entered sheet length (fixed length) and the measurement of sheet length. SOLUTION: A main controller 61 calculates the measurements of sheet length in a plurality of times for two or more sheet sizes on the basis of the information given by a register sensor 18. The difference (correction value used in correcting the measurement of sheet length) between the obtained measurement of sheet length and sheet size (fixed length) is calculated, and on the basis of the difference between the correction values obtained in a plurality of times, the correction value for use in correcting the measured value for the relevant sheet size is decided. Then the gradient between two adjoining points (decided correction values for two sheet sizes) is calculated. |
