<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel having a substrate with a transparent electrodes formed thereon, and permitting to electrically connect the electrodes with drive elements with reliability. SOLUTION: The display panel DP 1 comprises a substrate Sr on which the belt-like electrodes Er1-Erm comprising row electrodes are formed, a substrate Sc on which the belt-like electrodes Ec1-Ecn composing column electrodes are formed thereon, and a liquid crystal layer LCL held between these substrates. The belt-like electrodes Er1-Erm, Ec1-Ecn are provided with metal films Mr1-Mrm, Mc1-Mcn, respectively. The metal films are made of a material different from that of the electrode (ITO in this example), and are electrically connected with the corresponding belt-like electrodes. The metal films partially overlap with the corresponding belt-like electrodes, and the remaining parts are formed on the substrates. A driving IC is connected with the belt-like electrodes via these metal films.</p> |
