PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branched polyolefin which has excellent moldability and mechanical strengths, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This branched polyolefin characterized by comprising 50 to 100 mol.% of repeating units derived from ethylene and 0 to 50 mol.% of repeating units derived from a 3 to 20Cα-olefin, having a flow-activating energy [Ea (KJ/mol)] and anα-olefin contact [C (wt.%)] in a specific relation, and further having a melt tension [MT (g)] and a melt flow range [MFR (g/10 min)] in a specified relation.
