PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow structure capable of securely obtaining a volume covered with soil above the top member even in a case that a specified volume for the thickness for the whole embankment can not be secured. SOLUTION: In the hollow structure 1 for this invention, the top slab member 3 is extended so as to be substantially spread along the horizontal line and connected to the upper ends of both side wall members 2. And upwardly bent arc-shaped section is eliminated and the soil volume covering the top is designed to securely obtain the upward soil covering volume above the top slab member 3 (hollow structure 1) even when a specified volume for the thickness of the whole embankment can not be secured.
