COATED OPTICAL FIBER RIBBON AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated optical fiber ribbon capable of satisfactorily preventing the increase in a transmission loss even in the case of being used under water or under a high humidity environment while maintaining single fiber separability in a high level and moreover capable of efficiently and surely being obtained with a simple method. SOLUTION: In the coated optical ribbon 100, coated optical fibers 1a-1d having in the outermost layer colored layers 3a-3d consisting of a colored ultraviolet ray setting resin are coated by over coating layers 5a-5d consisting of a first ultraviolet lay setting resin of the Young' modulus of 400-1,500 MPa and total elongation percentage of 20-60% to form over coated optical fibers 6a-6d, further the over coated optical fivers 6a-6d are arranged so as to be mutually juxtaposed and are integrally coated by a batch coating layer 7 consisting of a second ultraviolet ray setting resin.
